Aged: 10 Years

The 2004 vintage wine can simply be described as pure elegance. It has matured into a wonderfully integrated blend of dark fruits, maintaining its mid-palate of black cherry, black currant and blackberry and finishing with smooth, long, silky tannins. The mouth feel is spectacular. It has retained its freshness and now drinks younger than an eight-year old California Cabernet.

89 points, The Wine Advocate (December 2007): The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals admirable ripeness along with a more monolithic character than either of its siblings, attractive fruit, medium to full body, and a spicy, elegant finish. Not surprisingly, winemaker John Gibson (who fashioned so many beautiful wines at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars in the mid-eighties) has been able to extract a finesse-styled, Bordeaux look-alike from this Diamond
Mountain vineyard.”
