Dark ruby color accentuates the layered aromas and flavors of black cherry, cassis, and plum, with undertones of currants, licorice and spice. A concentrated mouthful of rich, ripe fruit give this wine a weighty yet elegant feel, culminating in Anomaly’s signature lasting, velvety finish.
Owners Steve and Linda Goldfarb serve as stewards of the property, while relying on Winemaker Mark Porembski to frame the grace of the vineyard in each successive vintage. Although drinking beautifully now, the 2002 Anomaly will continue to evolve in the cellar and could be held to age for a decade or more.
91 Points, Connoisseurs' Guide: "..well-polished opus...generous oak brings augmented riches.."
