Lovely aromas of cassis plum and earth introduce this classy Merlot. Spicy notes are wrapped in firm tannins. Savor its long finish, then pour another glass. The final blend was 81% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc.
Cab Franc brings the little zing to it. Many Merlots are textbook – soft, silky counterparts to big monster Cab. But this one has a little spice, like black pepper.
