On the nose, raspberry and pomegranate fruits dominate, with a light touch of oak. On the palate, the wine shows medium body with red fruit flavors. It is very approachable now, with a supple roundness to it and the promise of many more years of aging.

Carlson founder/winemaker Chuck Carlson produced only 120 cases of this wine and less than 500 cases total of his three regional Carlson Pinot Noirs. Therefore, he never enters his wines into competition or for review.

Under ideal storage conditions, this ’07 will age nicely for eight to 12 years after the vintage date.

This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the club.
