I had a small dinner party. I made homemade red sauce, lasagna and bread. I served this wine. It stole the show! Wonderfully deep red color, and a well rounded finish. Everyone raved over this one. -20 Points

I served this wine with a roasted beef round tip roast. It was excellent. Color was a beautiful deep burgundy plum. Nose was a showstopper. Really fragrant. The wafts of black currant and vanilla were alluring and inviting. This wine seemed to whisper, "Drink me." LOL! The finish definitely got better with each sip. The first sip, before dinner, I wasn't impressed. Seemed to fall off too soon. However, taking a sip with the entree really enhanced the finish. Very smooth. Definitely in my top 3 Merlots from CA Wine Club. -18 Points
