Aged: 12 Years
This Cabernet is a dark garnet in color belying its age. It has a powerfully perfumed nose of black currant, Earl Grey tea and cedar wood. The dark fruits follow through on the palate with smooth, but well integrated structural tannins. It is very bright on the palate with a full mouth feel, light cigar box and earthy notes.
91 points, Wine Spectator (September 30, 2004): “A ripe, juicy, showy style, with high-toned black cherry and blackberry fruit framed by dill and cedary oak flavors that come together nicely on the palate, turning silky smooth and finishing with a chocolaty, mocha-scented aftertaste…”
Drinking beautifully now but will carry well for an additional 20 years.
