From its dark, incredibly saturated color to its intense aromas of baked blackberry, dark cherry, crème de cassis, plum and anise this wine is layered, rich and sophisticated. On the palate, notes of espresso, dark chocolate and toasted oak, support beautiful ripe fruit and spice flavors, with seamless, mouthcoating tannins adding power and longevity. Despite its epic nature, there is also a liveliness and radiance to this wine that gives it poise, precision and balance.

95 points, Connoisseurs' Series (Aug. 12): “... this deep, fully realized youngster combines richness with lavish, black currant fruit that marks Napa Valley Cabernet at its best. Big and bold and  very full on the palate with plenty of  gritty young tannins..."

94 points, Wine Enthusiast (Oct, 1, 2012):  “...incredibly rich and concentrated in  blackberries, black currants...”

Very Good+ (93 Points), Ken's Wine Guide (Dec. 6, 2012): "This very impressive midnight blue colored Cabernet finished in second place in our recent High End Red Big Blind Tasting. It opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with a hint of blackberry and menthol. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty black currant and new oak blend with notes of black plum and a hint of black cherry. The finish is dry and its moderate mellow tannins show very nice length. The panel really enjoyed this wine. They suggested pairing it with beef stroganoff or a grilled rib-eye steak. Enjoy." –KWGTP

90 points, Wine & Spirits (Oct. 2011): "...super-ripeness and lush blueberry flavors...”

90 points, Wine Spectator (Nov. 15, 2012): “...extracted dark berry, cedar, roasted herb, woodsy oak, forest floor and crushed rock flavors...”

This stunning wine can be held for decades.
