Purple tinges the bright scarlet color of this red blend. It is mouth-filling with a lovely full texture. Sweet tannins add to its pleasure.
This wine was made of Red Garnacha, Mazuela (regional name for Carignane), Morenillo and Syrah. Fruit was carefully hand picked and sorted in the early morning. Each grape lot was fermented separately and left on its own skins for an extended time to extract fullest color and flavors. The wine then aged in French and American oak barrels. It was blended prior to bottling and aged also in the bottle.
To bring out all the expressive aromas and flavors of this wine, decant it a half hour before serving. Drink it between 59° and 62°F. Enjoy with pork, beef, stews, rice and aged cheeses. Enjoy now or hold up to three years.
This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
