This is a deeply concentrated wine with dense layers of aromatic complexity. Loads of deeplyconcentrated and incredibly spicy fruit aromas fill your glass. In the mouth you’ll find thick concentrated and riotous meaty Syrah flavors, smoky wood tones, exotic spices, mineral tones, and fine tannins. Great structure and aging potential.
93 points, Wine Enthusiast (May 2008): “ Impresses for the sheer volume of the fruit, with explosive blackberry, cherry, cassis, chocolate, licorice, gingerbread, cola, asian spice and smoky oak that are fresh and vibrant."
92 points, Wine Spectator (March 31, 2008): "Mocha, coconut, and wild berry aromas fold together nicely on the palte, where this gains richness and depth and reveals deep concentration of flavors."
92 points, California Grapevine (June/July 2008): "Medium-dark purplish color; attractive, foward, intense, smoky, cedary, peppery, spicy, blackberry fruit aroma with notes of express and charred oak; full body; big, rich textured, concentrated, brambly, meaty, ripe blackberry fruit flavors with a silky mouthfeel; firmy structured; full tannin, lingering aftertaste."
92 points, International Wine Cellar (June/July 2008): “Deep aromas of black fruits, smoked meat, licorice and brown spices, supple, creamy and mouthfilling with rather wild flavors of black fruits and game."
91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (July 08): “The wine is big without being out of control and tannic without forcing fruit to the sidelines, and rather than scoring points first for out-and-out power, this full-bodied, highly structured bottling has classic Syrah richness and a well-managed approach to its brawny side."
90 points, The Wine Advocate, Robert Parker (June 30, 2008): “This is the biggest and most muscular and concentrated wine of Terre-Rouge, inky ruby/purple to the rim, with notes of charcoal, camphor, blackberry liqueur, tar and a bit of acacia flower, ripe, full-bodied and dense but with plenty of structure..."
