This powerfully fruity red blend of Garnacha tintorera and Monastrell boasts a deep red color. Aromas of fruit, spice and oak lead to layers of dark and intense fruit flavors.
The final blend of 70% Garnacha tintorera and 30% Monastrell aged for 14 months in oak barrels.
Gold Medal, Zarcillo International Wine Competition
This is the inaugural vintage and the winemaker recommends drinking the wine now or holding up to five years. He suggests serving this wine between 60-64°F and storing it horizontally away from bright light or big
changes in temperature, ideally between 53 to 60°F. Crystals in the wine have no influence on its flavors.
Goes well with meats, pastas and even chocolate, but avoid spicy foods.
This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
