This intense, ruby red wine has a fragrant nose full of plum, black cherry, blueberry, clove and dark chocolate notes. Layers of flavor are tempered by silky tannins.
This wine is 100% Nero d’Avola, Sicily’s most famous native red grape.
There are no awards or reviews for this Italian red, but the ’06 vintage earned a Silver Medal at the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition.
It is a great choice with rich dishes like noodles, ossobuco, tuna polpette and tomato sauce, oven baked lamb and medium/sharp firm aged cheeses.
