The wine has deep concentrated purple hues characteristic of Petite Sirah. Aromas of black berries roasted with allspice, vanilla and black licorice lead to a wine that is concentrated and powerful, with full luscious tannins that intertwine with dark fruit and a rich textured finish.

Winery of the Year 2012, Connoisseurs' Guide

93 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (7/12): “...one of the most lavish Petite Sirahs to be had, and, while some may well find it too close to going over the top, it is undeniably rich and broadly expressive. It is an immense and powerful presentation with no pretense to refinement, and it comes with plenty of tannin..."

92 points, Wine & Spirits Magazine (June 2012): “...dripping purple fruit in a rain of boysenberry syrup over smoky earth...”

91 points, Ken’s Wine Guide (Sept. 4, 2012): "This opaque and pitch black colored Petite Sirah opens with a mild blackberry and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is balanced, rich and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a concentrated ripe blackberry with notes of blueberry jam and a touch of old oak, anise, and black plum. The finish is dry and its very dusty tannins show really nice length. This Petite Sirah would pair very well with a thick well-marbled ribeye steak. Enjoy." –Ken
