There are layers of complexity that complement the luscious flavors of perfectly ripe merlot. In the mouth there is chocolate laced with cherry fruit. With a lovely softness around a structured wine with just enough tannins and a nice bright acidity.The fine tannins support the abundant fruit. The finish is long and concentrated with hints of sweet oak.

The wine is grown at Happy Canyon Vineyards which is in the newest American Viticultural Area (AVA) eponymously named Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara. This area is proving to be one of the finest for growing and making wine from Bordeaux varietals.
