Beautiful fragrances of rich dark fruit and pomegranate lure you to flavors of dark red fruits including blackberry and plum. Tannins are soft and sweet.

This is an unusual blend of Syrah (89%), Lagrein (5%), Petite Sirah (3%), Merlot (2%) and Grenache (1%).

Due to their small production of wines, J. Wilkes wines haven’t been submitted for scores.

Tri-tip is a great pairing, and heavy spicy foods. Hold up to 2020.

Truly amazing rich red wine. I love the finish, great balance, get it while you can. This one probably won't be available for long.        -20 Points

Irving & Linda Cohn from OK

By far the smoothest best red in any price range we have tried, simply enjoyable.      -20 Points

Deana Segreti from IL

If color can be lush and plush, a la Shelby's description of Pink as Blush and Bashful in Steel Magnolias, this would be the wine. Really sultry and inviting like a red velvet chaise lounge, definitely smelled dark red fruits, especially plum and blackberry. If it were a jam, I'd be putting it on my toast. This is definitely not a sipping wine. First tast didn't impress me, but was much better when I served it with spicy chicken shish-ka-bobs. The flavors in the wine and the food really came out. Finish also didn't impress with first sip, but with the meal, it was perfect. Actually, I thought it cleansed the palate after every bite. Very smooth and refreshing, much the way a sorbet between courses would work. Overall, I would give this wine 15-17 out of 20.            -16 Points
