A beautiful combination of dried  apricots, bitter almonds and orange blossom. Liquid mineral notes soar from the glass, while the golden hue draws you in for a taste that is overflowing with full-bodied sweet almond extract, flint notes, exotic ginger, dried peaches and apricots. This wine has enough structure to drink as an aperitif or to age gracefully and hold its own with the richest of foods.

91 points, Connoisseurs' Series (July 2012): “JC Cellars is once again right on form with its latest release of "The First Date", and, as it has been in the past, the wine is among the richest, most generous local versions of white Rhônes to be had. Blessed with very deep, fully ripened peaches and tropical fruit, carefully oaked and at times hinting at a bit of sweet custard, the wine is immense and very
well-balanced at once and shows remarkable length. It is sure to over-whelm delicate dishes and will shine when matched up with sweeter pork dishes.”

Only 440 cases made.
