The stones indigenous to the Galets Vineyard perfectly describe the wine produced, rich in mineral driven notes of chalk and wet limestone, with prevalent dark berry aromas and dried black cherry. The palate shows flavors of tobacco and root beer spice, with structure of lingering velvet and nishing with a gorgeous floral flavor.
92 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (June 2013): " ...Les Galets, always one of our favorites is found a bit lower on the hillside and can be a touch lighter than the upland bottlings, and in this vintage it is the most complex of the lot. Its ripe, brisk fruit scents are joined by notes of cola and a hint of minerals as well as a whiff of dried flowers..."
