Aged: 14 Years
Bright fruit aromas cut through the air as you pour this into your glass. Currants, strawberry, spice and a hint of toasted oak control the aroma. On the palate, the wine still has rich deep fruit. This ’98 Gemstone has aged very well. The flavors are well integrated and still focused on dark fruit flavors with bright acidity on the edges. It’s amazing how well this wine drinks right after opening the bottle.
The final blend was 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petite Verdot.
