Dark black fruit with rich aromas of deep cherry, blackberry and vanilla. On the palate the wine is rich and silky with tons of bright blackberries, cherries and boysenberries. The finish has a classic Rutherford Dust flavor with great balance of acidity, tannins and oak. Drink now through 2010.
91 Points, The Connoisseurs' Guide (Aug. 07): "Precise currant and loamy, rooty aromas...fully expressed fruit...well-balanced offering whose curranty , black cherry flavors are augmented by rich, creamy oak and by hints of cocoa..."
94 Points, Wine Enthusiast (Sept. 07): "They pulled out their best for their birthday and the result is a spectacular wine. Dense and concentrated in enourmously complex cassis, black curant, cherry pie and cedar, it shows the dryness and firmness of a fine young Cabernet. Easy to predict a good lifetime ahead..."
93 Points, Sommielier Selections (Summer 2007): "...lush fruit, fine tannins...wonderfully balanced...reflects more than 30 years of viticultural advances."
Only 318 cases were produced and is already almost sold out at the winery.
