Dark ruby/purple color, aromas of berry patch with dark spicy fruit and the kind of layered complexity that usually comes from much older vines. Flavors are ripe with spiced cherries, red fruit, fresh ground pepper and a full bodied lip smacking finish.

91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (March 08): “There is an intriguing sense of sophistication about the layered aromas of this deeply fruited Zinfandel that sets it apart from the varietal crowd. Its flavors are deep and focused on berryish concentration even as its evident heat andgrippy tannins take it towards the more rustic side in texture. Still, all the signs here point to a smoother, more cohesive wine consistent with its first aroma in three or four year’s time.”
