Shows the intense, generous black cherry fruit of our best years, with hints of rose petals, clove, and peat from the elegant oak. On the palate it is rich and smooth, with silky mouthfeel and nicely integrated, supple yet firm tannins.

95 points Wine & Spirits (October 2011): “…a vinous evocation of the coast that has the power to improve your mood the way ocean air might…an ethereal beauty…”

93 points, Wine Enthusiast (September 1, 2011): “A real dazzler in the mouth, offering complex tiers of cherries, raspberries, sweet vanilla…This richness is perfectly balanced by crisp, coastal acidity…”

91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (June 2011): “Clean, direct, still evolving red cherry and dried flower notes are joined in the aroma by slightly toasty oak scents. Surprisingly full on the palate for a Marimar wine, and exhibiting the expected acidy, cranberryish edge that is also typically present, this bottling is rich and supple to start and firm to end."

Only 536 cases were produced. This wine shows great aging potential but is drinking beautifully now.

This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
