Aged: 11 Years
This is very vibrant, youthful wine at 11 years old. The rim is still an almostelectric violet color, with a deep, dark purple, claret-hued core. The bouquet is all cranberries, dark cherry fruits, flint, earth, pine needles, and spicy cedar. On the palate, the wine vibrates with fresh blackberries and more dark cherry fruit,
and a subtext of volcanic soil underneath, with fine-grain tannins and wake-me-up acidity.
This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
