A classic Miner Chardonnay, malolactic fermentation in moderation keeps this chardonnay sleek on the palate with stone fruit characteristics enhanced by toasty oak.
91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (June 2008): “Sweet and full-ripened appley fruit sits at the heart of this very generous opus, and, like the best of its peers, the wine balances its almost applepie- like richness with a fine streak of enlivening acid. Full on the palate, slightly oily in feel and yet fairly firm at the finish with a tangy upturn of sweet lemon, it displays very good continuity and length with real potential for at least two or three years of improvement.”
4 Stars (out of 5) Restaurant Wine, Ronn Wiegand, Master Sommelier (June 2008): "Fine quality Chardonnay: full bodied, supple, ripely flavored, and well-balanced … tasting of peach, apple, honeysuckle and toasty oak.”
Highly Recommended, California Grapevine (May 2008): “… toasty, nutty, spiced apple aroma; full body; plush earthy green apple flavors …”
87 Points, The Wine News, (April 2008) "Tropical fruit bouquet ... Ripe peach and pineapple flavors in a soft, ready-to-drink close."
This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
