Rich in texture, this lovely Chardonnay leads on the nose with crème brûlée, grapefruit, hazelnut and sweet toasty oak aromas. Apricot and peach flavors are wrapped in a creamy texture on the palate.
92 points, Wine Enthusiast (July 2012): “A big, flashy wine that’s fabulously rich in flavors of pineapple, orange and lemon custard, and liberally accented with the crème brûlée and vanilla from its time in new French oak. Fresh acidity, minerality from the soil and a dry finish bring an elegant touch to this ripe Chardonnay.”
92 points, California Grapevine (May 2012): “…medium-full body; fleshy, stone fruit and tropical fruit flavors with firm acidity and a slightly creamy mouthfeel; lingering aftertaste.”
