Aged: 8 Years

Wonderfully vibrant and layered. On the palate, the French oak shines and the fruit is pleasantly subtle. Up front, we find Herbes de Provence and coffee notes before it eases into black currant and dark cherry on the long, elegant finish. With its beautiful soft tannins and a warm, mid-palate mouth feel, this is a textbook California Bordeaux.

93 points, Wine Enthusiast (December 15, 2007): “Made in a very ripe style, this Cabbased Bordeaux blend is fat and rich in cherries, blackberries, chocolate, cola and cedar flavors. The soft density is partly the result of relatively high alcohol, but the wine wears it well. Shows a good balance of alcohol, acids, fruit, oak and firm, dusty tannins…”

92 points, Wine Spectator (March 2008): “Intense and earthy, with rich mineral, blackberry, boysenberry and spicy nutmeg and hazelnut scents that are deep and complex, finishing with a long, persistent aftertaste…”

Drink now through 2016.
