Rich and powerful. Deep, blackberry/currant flavors, delicious ripe plum acidity, tobacco leaf, toasted oak, and balanced tannins lead to an incredibly long, complex finish. Exemplifies the terroir of the site. Drinks well now and will improve through 2012+. Decant before serving.

94 points, Wine Enthusiast (Apr. 2009): "Cellar Selection. Rated Excellent."

94 points, Anthony Dias Blue (March 2009): “Rich and smooth with lovely plum, mocha, chocolate and spice; velvety, dense and beautifully structured with complexity and finesse.”

91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (Dec. 2008): “Intense, wonderfully precise currant-like fruit is the confident star of this riveting young Cabernet Sauvignon, and a sweeping array of rich oak, loamy earth and forest-floor spice provides a compelling sense of real complexity throughout the wine’s very considerable length. Impressively extracted and impressively balanced as well, this is one for hiding away in the cellar, and it has the look of a wine that will continue to grow for a good many years.”

90 points, Gerald Boyd, Wine Review Online (Oct. 2008): "... impeccably balanced, rich with ripe refined tannins, 14.5% alcohol and showing good length through the finish. This is an elegant yet powerful wine that should be aged for at least three to five years before drinking."

Just 130 cases made.  Drink now or hold up to 2012.
