Perfect for toasting the host.

Upon first taste, juicy lemon and lime are present – which lead the way to green apple and baked pineapple. The palate finishes with a delicate minerality, the richness of warm roasted almonds, and a lingering acidity.

This wine aged for six years and was riddled by hand. The final blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir was assembled from the best of more than 200 wine lots.

95 points, Connoisseurs' Guide: "Once again, Schramsberg’s flagship bubbly winds up at the right end of the leaderboard. Its bold, complex blending of toast, caramel, yeast and crème brûlée takes it far beyond the realm of primary fruit, and yet, for all that the wine possesses, it succeeds because it has energetic, briskly focused fruit at its heart..."

94 points, Wine Enthusiast “Cellar Selection”: “A beautiful, rich, elegant, fancy sparkling wine…”

94 points, The Tasting Panel: “Lush and bursting with sun-drenched fruit; rich, balanced, lively…”

92 points, Wine Spectator Insider: “A beautiful bubbly, boldly styled but retaining elegance…”

Robb Report, “Best of the Best” : “…Today critics and enthusiasts recognize Schramsberg as the preeminent producer of California sparkling wines…Freshly cut green-apple scents waft upward from the glass, as do aromas of lightly roasted nuts, while the wine's gossamer texture caresses the tongue.”

This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
