A dark ruby-red hue and a nose of blueberries, blackberries, red currants, fresh rose petal, violets and a hint of spearmint. On the palate, it has a refined attack with a beautiful balance of fruit and floral influences, a silky mid-palate and a fruit-sweet finish that lingers for minutes.

91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (Oct. 12): “If marginally the fuller Pinot of the Twomey pair, this very well-measured, medium-full-bodied effort conveys much the same sense of fruity vitality and is never overly beholden to ripeness. Its sophisticated nose of fresh cherries, vanilla and gentle spice is echoed in  kind and composition by its trim and  long-lasting flavors, and, while hardly  a wine of bluster and boldness, it gets high marks for richness and style.”

90 points, Wine Enthusiast (Sept. 1, 2012): “This is bone dry, with lots of zesty acidity and flavors of sour cherry candy, pomegranate and persimmon, with a mushroomy earthiness. It should change over the years, although not necessarily improving. Try pairing it with steak, lamb or a rich cut of ahi tuna.”
