Aged 9 Years.

The nose is rich with plum blossoms, red cherries and nutmeg. Some chocolate cherry cola notes with a hint of fennel follow. Surprisingly smooth and elegant on the palate, the wine is juicy with red cherries and a warm spice. The acids are still fresh but not biting. The fine tannins dry pleasantly and promise earthier tones in the wine’s future. Will continue to age well for at least another three to four years.

94 points, Wine Enthusiast (Dec. 15, 2006): “Beautiful Cabernet. Has all the big, ripe juicy fruit and lavish oak of most Napa Cabs, plus elegance and harmonious balance…”

90 points, Wine News (May 2007): “Shy scents of red fruit, cold slate, pencil and mushroom earthiness. Inky flavors of mixed berries, minerals and chalk are much more forthcoming than the nose. Long, lean finish.”

4 (out of 5) stars, Decanter.com: “Closed but intense. Rich fruit and spicy notes. Great wine loaded with blackcurrant fruits and vanilla. A touch of oriental spice adds elegance. Drink 2012-17.”
