Dive into a potpourri of intense aromas led by black cherry, cassis and violets. Flavors of dark berries occupy the lush heart of this classy Bordeaux blend, embracing notes of mocha and cocoa.
The blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Petit Verdot and 19% Cabernet Franc was assembled after nine months in barrel.
90 points, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar (Nov/Dec. 2010): “A fragrant, oak-spiced bouquet displays candied blackberry, fruitcake, potpourri and sandalwood. Sweet, expansive dark berry flavors are firmed by notes of bitter chocolate and licorice, with zesty acidity adding lift. Tannins come up late and add structure to a warm, smooth, persistent finish. This wears its alcohol well but it’s still a bruiser.”
