Aged: 12 Years

Medium-bodied with a bouquet dominated by black cherry, rose petal, cloves, sweet cedar notes, figs and apricot preserves. On the palate, it has a full mouthfeel with elegant fluid tannins coated with voluptuous flavors of cherry, anise, and tobacco with a gentle acidity that could very well carry it into another decade of cellaring.

92 points, Wine Spectator “2001 California Cabernet Blind Retrospective” (June 2011 – web only): “Graceful and complex, with layers of spice, dried berry, mocha, roasted herb and tobacco, smooth on the finish, with ripe integrated tannins."

91 points, Wine & Spirits (Dec. 2003): “…takes a bold, sophisticated stance… should only grow more accommodating as it ages…”

90 points, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar (May/June 2004): “Vibrant aromas…Sweet, supple and silky…aromatic and suave…”
