Va Piano Vineyards
A beloved teacher and beautiful Italy inspired Justin Wylie to begin Va Piano, a small family winery in Walla Walla, Washington. During his senior year in college at Gonzaga University in Florence, Justin was inspired by artist and man of compassion, Father Bruno Segatta. “Father Segatta didn’t tell me ‘go start a winery!’” Justin laughs. “He inspired me to find out what I really wanted to do in my life.” As happens with wine, Justin was soon making Cabernet in his garage, releasing his first wine in 2003.

Winemaker's Notes
Fruit came from four growers, as well as the Va Piano Estate and the Octave-Estate Vineyard further south at a higher elevation. All sites occupy hillsides. Fruit for this 100% Sauvignon Blanc came from Roza Hills Vineyard (79%) and Reed Vineyards (21%), all in the Columbia Valley AVA. It is Washington’s largest appellation.
Awards & Reviews
My dog is smarted thank I look. I was sitting enjoying this wine with some Thanksgiving left overs when my dog ran to the front door and started barking as it an armed bandit was about to invade the privacy of our home. So I ran to the door and my dog ran to the table. I saw no one. He saw a turkey dinner and knocked over the wine and started lapping. He gave the Cabernet and turkey dinner a 20. I gave him a reprimand. - Susan Drogan, MO
I loved the Sauvignon Blanc! Went excellent with my fresh Prince William sound oyster's and shrimp! - Robyn Franzen, AK
