Barbecue Sauce

Barbecue Sauce

“Inspired by a trip to Texas, we infused a little bit of our California Pinot Noir into a smokin’ good sauce. We paired it with a great, slow-cooked Texas-style beef brisket. We liked them both so much we wanted to share our recipe." - Jesse and Aaron Inman, Proprietors of Romililly Wines.

Ingredients

  • 1 c organic ketchup
  • 1/2 c organic chili sauce
  • 1/2 c Pinot Noir
  • 1/4 c organic brown cane sugar
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

Add all ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil; stir and reduce heat to low. Allow sauce to reduce down for 20 minutes; stir every so often to avoid any burning at the bottom.
