A monster of a wine, our version of the peculiar Petite Sirah is generous with very accessible dark fruit, with a peppery spice and firm spine of tannin that is classic of Petite Sirah. The wine is sturdy but not tough and will reward drinking with well- seasoned ‘meats on the bone’ for many years forward.

91+ points, Wine Advocate, Robert M. Parker, Jr. (12/10): “…This wine has plenty of minerals as well as a hint of violets, a thick, opaque purple color, huge tannins, but also massive fruit and concentration. It is a wine to forget for 5 years and drink over the next two decades.”

Note from the winemaker: "Petite Sirah is definitely one for decanting. Decant it back and forth two or three times. You can also drink some, refrigerate it and it will be better by day three.”

This wine drinks beautifully now or hold up to 20 years.

This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
