Blackened Halibut

Cook Time: 10 Minutes

Yield: Serves 4

Wine club members will enjoy this recipe with Barrel Burner's Central Coast Chardonnay.

Ingredients

  • (4) 4-oz halibut fillets
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 Tbsp pepper
  • 2 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 Tbsp butter

Preparation

  1. Add all dry ingredients to large, resealable plastic bag; place one fillet in at a time to coat, shaking off excess.
  2. Add butter to skillet over medium heat; once melted, cook fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side, or to preference.
