Ca' Momi Winery
In the early 1990s, Stefano Migotto and Dario De Conti were two of Italy’s brightest young winemakers. A decade later, each came to California to share his expertise with American winemakers. In the process, both fell in love with the Napa Valley and founded Ca' Momi Winery in 2006.
The fabulous wines we featured:
2010 Rosso di Napa, Napa Valley
- Final Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.
- Double Gold Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Comp.
- 3 Silver Medals
Tasting Notes: Plum, raspberry, tobacco and licorice fragrances lead to a full-bodied wine with dry fruit flavors and sweet oak on the finish.
2010 Bianco di Napa, Napa Valley
- Final Blend: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Muscato.
- Gold Medal, World Wine Competition
- 90 points, Beverage Testing Institute
Tasting Notes: Orange blossom, tangerine, grapefruit and honey on the nose. Notes of orange and grapefruit dominate the palate. Shows terrific balance between alcohol and acidity.
Winemaker's Notes
"We (Dario and Stefano) both studied at one of Italy's oldest winemaking schools in the province of Padova near Venice. What we bring to Ca'momi from Italy is our deep commitment to sustainable winemaking and our ability to make food friendly wines."

"I took this (Bianco di Napa) wine last Sunday to a Super Bowl party, nice light crisp and the wine was good with all the snacks including the Buffalo Wings! Two of the guests want to go in with me on a reorder of this wine. One comment was, "This is a great wine for the summer by the pool." - Bess Hannigan, CA
