A rich, dark purple with a lighter ruby rim. A nose of cranberries, black currant with hints of vanilla and mint. A bit of tobacco and leather as well. The palate is really well structured: a clear beginning, middle and end. The beginning is fruity. Tart cranberries and currants with dark cherry undertones. The middle has an herbaceous/spice component. Baking spice and oregano. The finish is lush and the tannins are soft.

88 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (4/10): "We have more than once found things to like in this winery's very affordable "Hummingbird" bottlings, and this nicely balanced, eminently fruity effort delivers the goods at a modest price. It shows plenty of curranty fruit with shades of raspberries, and it is enriched by a fine touch of sweet oak."

This is a Cab that is ready to drink now.
