Displaying very enticing aromas of dark berry fruit, bittersweet chocolate, and toasty oak. On the palate the wine is big and black-fruited on the attack as it has been since first used in our 1982 Corley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. The mid-palate of the wine is rich and chewy, providing a fat foundation for the tannins to frame. The finish is long and juicy and wraps up beautifully all the dark fruit and integrated 100% New Oak components in the wine.
93 points, Wine Enthusiast (Apr. 1, 2013): "...It shows dryness, hard tannins, full body and classic black currant and cedar flavors characteristic of the varietal. There is no doubt its ageablity..."
92 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (Dec. 2012): "... It is exceptionally long on the palate and stays in excellent balance from front to finish, and, while underpinned by the firming tannins needed to keep it going for a good many years..."
