Aged: 8 Years
The wine is a rich ruby color with no hint of orange. Some bottle bouquet is present but the nose is primarily driven by black stone fruit and hints of caramel, chocolate, coffee, spices and ripe fruit. On the mouth, younger, good fruit, nice depth, excellent lingering finish, elegant.
88 points, Wine Spectator (Nov. 15, 2007): “Aromas and flavors of dusty cedary oak join ripe currant and cherry notes. The texture is smooth, ending with firm, ripe tannins and a lingering aftertaste that shows a dash of herb.
Try this Cabernet with a lamb loin marinated in olive oil and garden herbs with lemon mashed Yukon gold potatoes and Swiss chard.
