Plush and velvety, this wine is immediately approachable. It has intense blackberry flavors and a hint of mocha and vanilla. The wine is beautifully balanced with a smooth and long finish and has tremendous structure and fruit, with a seamless integration of tannins.

90 points, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar (May 2012): “Deep ruby. Complex aromas of redand blackcurrant, cherry preserves, vanilla and pipe tobacco, with a spicy overtone. Juicy and precise on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering sweet dark fruit flavors brightened by a
minerally element. Closes long and focused, leaving smoky cherry and cassis notes behind.”

This Cab pairs best with rich red meats like steak and lamb, and with pungent cheeses like Stilton and American-made bleu.

Drink now or hold up to a decade.

This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the month club.
