Aged: 13 Years

This is an incredibly balanced wine, very seamless, with a ton of dark fruit. The Petit Verdot gives it a bit of blue fruit. It is the ‘little brother’ to Insignia, but very similar. Like our other older Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, this one is like a nice fitting glove.

“Top 100 Wines of 2003”, San Francisco Chronicle (Dec. 2003): “There’s a lot of complexity here – notes of plum, cherry, blueberry, cassis, toffee, vanilla, toast and caramel – wrapped in velvety tannins and with a long finish.”

92 points, Wine Enthusiast “Editor’s Choice” (May 2003): “A dense, layered wine, marked by pure cassis flavors…”

Connoisseurs’ Guide (April 2003): “Clean, appropriately focused if somewhat quiet aromas and flavors…will work well with steaks and chops.”

Food Pairing: You can enjoy it with practically any cuisine.
