Aromas of cherry liqueur and blackberry with just a hint of earthiness are followed by a fullbodied texture and lush red fruit flavors in the mouth.

The final blend was 64% Cinsaut, 21% Charbono and 15% Tannat.

Bronze Medal, Indiana State Fair

This is an unusual blend of three relatively obscure grapes. Cinsaut has it roots in the Rhone region of France, particularly Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Tannat is from the Basque region on the border of France and Spain (and is incidentally the only wine grape that is a palindrome!). Charbono may be from the mountainous Savoie region in southeastern France.

Grilled meats (easy on the BBQ sauce), game and roast chicken are all good choices for Bella Cuvée.

Enjoy now or hold for several years.  Just 810 cases produced.

This wine was recently featured in The California Wine Club's wine of the club.

The cherry aroma was outstanding.

Color looked like dark magenta velvet. Nose smelled like fresh, ripe blackberries. Taste was unbelieveable. My exact words were "Sweet Jesus, this is good." It tastes like I bit into a handful of spiced blackberries with a touch of effervescence. The finish was incredible. Really smooth and lingered on the palate with wonderful flavors. I've never had a wine with these obscure grapes. So happy to try them!
