91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (Mar. 2011): “ Its nose is marked by mid-volume scents of Syrah spice, well-ripened but not over-concentrated blackberry notes and touches of creamy, oaky seasonings. It is a big but not brawny wine on the palate where its fruit again comes with varietal and oaky infusions, and its tannins, while evident, are well-integrated and look to hold the wine in good stead for years.”
90 points, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar (May/June 2011): “…highly expressive, displaying scents and flavors of black and blue fruits and violet, with notes of vanilla and mocha…Packs a serious punch and would be a great companion to grilled beef or lamb.”
