Dark red color. This Doctor’s Vineyard oozes complex notes of anise, cloves, ripe cherry, currant, and blackberry jam. With the cooler vintage of 2011, there is a neat convergence of spice and dark fruit, paired with ample acidity from this vineyard. While the tannins are smooth and silky now, the acidity helps carry the intensity of this Pinot Noir for now and into the future.

91 points, Connoisseurs' Guide (Oct. 2013): "This deep and well-defined youngster ranks as our favorite of the good Testarossa lot from the Santa Lucia Highlands both for its incisive, very generous varietal fruit as well as its exemplary balance.
