Characterized by aromas and deep flavors of dark fruits; blackberry, cassis, black plum balanced by a dense layer of cocoa and roasted coffee beans. The flavors and aromas are powerful yet there is a sense of finesse to this wine that is a hallmark of Turnbull Black Label.
90 points, Wine Spectator (June 15, 2008): “Big and rich, yet elegant and stylish, with ripe, vibrant blackberry, black cherry and wild berry fruit that’s fresh and snappy, with firm, integrated tannins. Classic Bordeaux Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.”
Serve with full flavored cheeses, or red meats such as grilled lamb chops, osso buco, beef roasts and stews. Drink now or hold up to 2020.
