Venison with a huckleberry sauce would really sing with this wine. Anything red would do well, but this one should stay away from white meats. The richness on the palate is crying out for a rare lamb chop. The wine can be enjoyed with a cheese plate after dinner as well as just by itself while cooking dinner.
